About Nancy
With over 30 years of experience in healthcare management and consulting, Nancy Mae Pierce is a recognized leader in transforming healthcare delivery through operational excellence, clinical insight, and technology-driven solutions.
Nancy began her career in public health, serving in both the Illinois Department of Health and the Denver Health System, where she managed maternal and child health programs in diverse urban and rural communities. Transitioning into the private sector, she spent several years managing physician practices across multiple specialties before founding her own healthcare consulting firm in 2003.
Nancy is known for her ability to diagnose and resolve systemic challenges within healthcare organizations. She approaches each engagement with analytical precision—identifying root causes of inefficiencies, designing customized solutions, and guiding teams through sustainable, lasting change. Her leadership style incorporates proven change management techniques that align staff, providers, and administrators around shared goals for transformation.
In 2015, Nancy undertook the complete restructuring of a struggling pediatric practice in Atlanta. Under her ongoing leadership, the practice expanded from one location and 15,000 annual encounters to six locations serving more than 50,000 patient visits per year.
A nationally recognized expert in Electronic Health Record (EHR) implementation and optimization, Nancy has led dozens of healthcare organizations through complex transitions—helping teams align technology with clinical workflows to boost performance and care quality. She has worked with more than a dozen EHR systems, including Epic, NextGen, Cerner, Greenway PrimeSuite, eClinicalWorks, and AdvancedMD. Notably, she recently led the reinstallation and turnaround of a failed Cerner EHR launch at a public hospital in Southern California, rebuilding team trust, redesigning training protocols, and achieving a successful system relaunch.
Nancy’s impact is measured not only in operational turnarounds and technology deployments but in the long-term success of her clients. Her work consistently leads to improved patient access, stronger care coordination, elevated HEDIS and quality scores, and measurable growth in patient volume and satisfaction. Her mission is clear: to help providers deliver the highest quality care to every patient, every time.
