Randy is a Senior Director for Healthcare Management Partners.
Randy has more than 30 years of experience in financial management and operations in the healthcare field. Before joining HMP, Randy served as president of Phoenix Management Services for more than 10 years, in which role he served as chief financial officer of Memorial Medical Center in Las Cruces, N.M. During that assignment, he led initiatives that resulted in an 11% increase in net revenues and 6% productivity improvement. In addition, his work facilitated other strategic initiatives related to capital projects and physician recruitment that led to a 7% increase in admissions. He also improved facility compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley regulations, taking the hospital from 45% compliance to more than 85% compliance in his first three months of service.
Prior to his work at Memorial Medical Center, Randy and his team provided interim management services for corporations and not-for-profit agencies with an emphasis on strategic planning, operations evaluations and financial analyses; during this time, Randy served as interim CFO for 10 facilities. He also led projects tackling a wide range of operational issues, such as compliance, pricing, charge systems, contract negotiations, facility expansion and communication with the U.S. Department of Justice.
Randy holds a Bachelor of Science in healthcare management from the Medical College of Virginia and a Master of Business Administration from Virginia Commonwealth University. He is a member of many professional and civic organizations, including the American College of Health Care Executives, the Healthcare Financial Management Association, United Way and the Red Cross.
