Kimberly Dong is a director of Healthcare Management Partners in Philadelphia.
Kimberly brings more than 10 years of experience in healthcare litigation consulting as well as forensic accounting to HMP and its clients. She has conducted internal accounting investigations, including reviewing stock option irregularities and financial reserves analyses. Kimberly also has reviewed the accounting for clinical trials and pharmaceutical pricing and performed damage analyses in preparation for litigation.
At HMP, she recently completed a lost-profit analysis for a hospital that proved critical in a legal dispute and is a key member of the HMP litigation support team for a lawsuit involving alleged massive Medicare fraud.
Before joining HMP, Kimberly spent five years managing or participating in various aspects of the defense of HCA, a multi-billion dollar healthcare provider accused of submitting false claims to the Medicare program. In particular, Kimberly was a lead and manager on a large-scale project involving the highly detailed audit of more than 50 Medicare cost reports. In addition, she helped develop benchmarking analyses to assess high-risk areas, cost report reserves analyses, and various aspects of discovery support, which ultimately led to a settlement in 2002. Kimberly also served as a manager on the Independent Review Organization team, which was charged with the task of monitoring HCA's corporate integrity agreement.
Prior to joining HMP, Kimberly was a director in the litigation practices of FTI Consulting and KPMG. She began her career in the audit division of Arthur Andersen before joining its healthcare consulting practice.
Kimberly holds a bachelor of arts in English from Mississippi State University and a master of science in accounting from the University of South Carolina.
